Will my holiday pay or benefits be affected?

No, taking part in the programme will not impact your holiday pay or benefits.

Will I be paid during mentoring or training sessions?

Yes, you will continue to receive your normal salary while attending training or mentoring sessions.

Who will cover my shift if I have to attend training or mentoring?

Your line manager will arrange cover for your shift, so you don’t need to worry about missing work.

What happens if I start the programme but don’t want to continue?

That’s absolutely fine, there’s no pressure to continue, and it won’t affect your job. We’re just glad you took a look.

I need help filling in the application form. What should I do?

If you’re having trouble completing the form, please speak to your manager or contact us.

I don’t know if I’m eligible to take part, who can I speak to?

Do I have to speak fluent English to take part?

No, you don’t need to be fluent in English. Training is available to help improve your language skills if needed.

Do I have to be good at maths to take part?

No, if you find maths challenging, training is available to support you.

Can I start the programme now, but delay moving to a new pathway?

Yes, you can, but it’s best to move on soon after finishing, so you can build on what you’ve learnt and make the most of your new connections.

Am I guaranteed a job at the end of the programme?

No, we can’t guarantee a job at the end of the programme. However, we hope that the experience, skills, and confidence you gain will put you in a strong position to find the right opportunity for you.

Am I at risk of losing my job if I take part in the programme?

No, taking part in Hopes and Dreams will not affect your employment.
